Saving seahorses

Threatened by overfishing, destructive fishing practices, and habitat loss, seahorses are flagship species for a wide range of marine conservation issues. Through biological research, trade and policy work, marine protected areas, and citizen science, Project Seahorse ensures that seahorse populations and their habitats are healthy and well-managed. Read more

 

Securing shallow seas

Shallow seas — the first 10 metres of depth along the world’s coastlines — comprise many of the planet's valuable and threatened marine ecosystems, including reefs, mangroves, and seagrasses. Project Seahorse combines conservation research, sustainable fisheries management, and marine protected areas to secure shallow seas. Read more
